Job Description:
The person we are looking for, needs to be able to administer and maintain the network. He/she will work with both the networking equipment as well as the server equipment and guarantees an optimal performance of both. The availability of the equipment and their services is their most important task. Besides that he/she will have regular meetings with co-workers and directors about how to improve the services and they will participate in meetings with government institutions and other third parties about using their networks or services.
This person will be responsible for handling technical customer questions. Sometimes difficult, sometimes easy.
Requirements:
*ICE network experience (REQUIRED)
*Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
*Fluent in English
*B1 Driver´s license is necessary
*Knowledge of and experience with the installation, configuration and administration of professional networking equipment (Cisco and/or Foundry, among others
*Knowledge of and experience with ethernet switching (e.g. 802.1q) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP);
*Knowledge of and experience with the internet and it's various protocols (IP, POP, IMAP, HTTP(s), DNS, et cetera);
*Knowledge of and experience with server environments based on the Linux operating system;
*Experience in the world of DSL (inter)connections: DSLAM, (MDF) colocation, CPE, transport protocols like SDH, et cetera;
